Lily "Beanie Queen" Malone

Lily "Beanie Queen" Malone

Lily 'Beanie Queen' Malone dreamed of being a colour-field artist, until her youngest son turned Ninja and put a golf club through her work of art. Not to be deterred by such sabotage she channeled her creativity into writing about luurve instead and in doing so, became far more crafty about password-protecting her computer, and leaving the laptop atop something taller than a two-year-old wielding a golf club.

Lily lives in Margaret River, where hard-bodied surfers refuse to change into wetsuits anywhere except in full glorious view in the public carpark, and where they make some of the world's best wines. It's a hard life. Before Margaret River, she spent 12 years in South Australia in a German tourist town called Hahndorf. No one ever tried to change into a wetsuit there because it was too darn cold (hence the pink beanie). It was, however, also a great place to drink wine, and beer, and... well, to just drink.

Lily has one gorgeous hubby, and two sons who take after their father. She juggles part-time work and family with writing and when not writing, likes gardening, walking, wine, and walking in gardens (sometimes with wine). Her other great love is sport. Most varieties, but particularly cricket, Australian Rules Football, tennis and golf. In another life she would have quite enjoyed being on Shane Warne's auto-dial. In March 2013, her debut novel, His Brand Of Beautiful, was published with Escape Publishing, and in May 2013 she self-published her novella The Goodbye Ride.

Lily has just finished her third published work, Fairway To Heaven, about love on the golf course and lust in the sand bunkers.

She loves to hear from readers and authors. You can find her on Goodreads, and on Facebook, and on Twitter:@lily_lilymalone and at her blog:
