Grammar Ninja: The Lady Biest asks "Does One Need to Capitalise Dick-Nose?"

Does one need to capitalise 'dick-nose'?

The question of whether to capitalise endearments and nicknames used to bother me until Grammar Girl set me straight. “A term of endearment isn’t interchangeable with a name the same way a nickname is, and terms of endearment aren’t capitalised.” For example, I can’t say “darling will be home at twelve” and expect people to know who I mean because ‘darling’ is an endearment that could apply to anyone. However, if I say “Glitterpants will be home at twelve”, everyone knows I’m talking about Georgina Glitterpants Penney, so the nickname is capitalised.
